Which User ID should I use to log into Portal, Self service or PeopleSoft Back Office previously created?

A user should be able to use either ID that was previously created in any PeopleSoft system to log into Portal. For example TIMPED01 (back office user) or dtimpe (self service) should be able to login and get all their information that was once granted in an either or matter.

 

I have forgotten my password, how can I receive a password to log in?

 

1. Click on link below password field.

 

 

2.Enter User ID that you normally use to log into the system.

 

 

Can I change my password, once I have logged in?

 

  1. Click  link located on the Menu.
  2. Enter Current Password
  3. Enter New Password.

* Contain minimum 8 characters in length (max 32).

* Contain at least one special character.

* Contain at least one number.

* Contain at least one lowercase letter.

* Contain at least one uppercase letter.

* Not equal your User ID.

  1. Press OK

 

 

How do I change my password help question and answer?

  2. Next Click on Link Change or Setup Forgotten Password Help
  3. Select Question from Drop Down Lists

What are cookies? And are they dangerous to my Computer?

Cookies are pieces of information generated by a Web server and stored in the user's computer.  No. A cookie is a simple piece of text. It is not a program, or a plug-in. It cannot be used as a virus, and it cannot access your hard drive. Your browser (not a programmer) can save cookie values to your hard disk if it needs to, but that is the limit of the effect on your system.

 

How do I Enable Cookies?

  3. Select the Advanced tab
  4. Locate the "Cookies" options in the "Security" section
  5. Change the radio button options to "Always accept cookies"
  6. Then click OK

 

Internet Explorer 5.0+

 

  1. Click on the Tools at the top of your screen
  2. Then click Internet Options
  3. Select the Security tab
  4. Then click Custom Level
  5. Scroll down to the "Cookies" section and select "Enable" for each of the "Allow cookies" options
  6. Then click OK and then OK

 

Internet Explorer 6.0+

 

  1. Click on the Tools at the top of your screen
  2. Then click Internet Options
  3. Select the Privacy tab

How do I disable Pop-Up Blockers?

 

 

 

If you have separately installed Pop-up Blockers i.e. Yahoo, Google, etc. try disabling this setup and log into the system again.

 

Yahoo Toolbar

 

Uncheck the Enable Pop-Up Blocker Item

 

Google

 

Press Blocking Popup push button.

 

Be sure to close the current Browser and Open a New session.
